Silas’s POV
“Yes, it does sound familiar. If you’re here to mock me for being trapped in a situation similar to yours and ask me how it feels, I’m in no mood to entertain you, Lucas.” I snap once more. Again, I really don’t want him to gloat.
“You’re really dense. My point is your father is the literal king of convincing everyone that they’re helpless and at his will to bend and mold. Even now, you think the only way to keep Freya safe is listening to him.” He explains further.
I silently watch him now.
All that is true, I had learned the hard way that just doing things his way was the best way to avoid conflicts, and he reimbursed that into me by getting Mother on his side every time.
“I refused to do his bidding and he’s so convinced that you’d hate me enough to not want my opinion on anything and the solitude would be my punishment.” Lucas continues.
