Chapter 36
Silas’s POV
I want to tell that there were a lot of things much more important, a whole list of things, but much more is at stake in our relationship is not maintained. I bite my tongue and give her no response. She grabs ahold of my hand and I feel it once our skin touch. A feeling of bugs crawling up my arms. It’s unsettling in the worst way.
It feels so wrong being held this way but I don’t push her away this time.
“I miss you, Silas. You’ve been so strange since she came.” She mutters quietly to me.
I say nothing. I can’t deny it either. Everything has been different since that Monday morning our eyes first met.
“Silas, if she doesn’t show up again, can I be your partner for the festival as always?” She whispers lowly but enough for me to hear her cynical words.
I don’t know what takes hold of me but I pick her up too quickly and slam her against the lockers, controlled by the unsettling rage of my wolf. He struggles to surface against
