Lilly’s POV
A roar tore through Hendrix’s throat—inhuman, fierce. His form twisted, bones snapping and reshaping, fur exploding across his skin. In the space of a heartbeat, where Hendrix had stood, a massive gray Lycan wolf now crouched, eyes burning gold and wild.
“He did it!” Asena exclaimed excitedly. “He broke the curse!”
I couldn’t utter a word; I was dumbfounded by what I saw. Did that really just happen?
Angelica shrieked—a sound of pure horror. “No! Not you too—!” she screamed, scrambling to her feet and lunging for the exit. But Hendrix was on her in an instant, jaws bared, a growl so deep it shook the walls. He chased her across the cramped cottage, blocking every exit; her escape was now impossible.
She screamed again, stumbling backward, hands raised in useless defense. “Stay away from me! You filthy beast!”
