Chapter 55. What I Have Planned

Alexander’s POV

I was nervously waiting in the foyer for Emily. I was already showered and dressed and was fiddling anxiously with my tie.

I had a bunch of butterflies in my stomach, which I couldn't get rid of, and my gaze kept on jumping to my watch.

7 p.m.—it was time.

"She is taking the stairs," Luke suddenly said next to me.

My gaze moved toward the stairs, and it was as if at that very moment everything slowed when Emily came into sight.

My heart jumped into my throat, the butterflies became even more active inside my belly, and my emotions internally spiraled out of control. I couldn't focus; I was happy, angry, and even jealous at the same time.
