Chapter 15
Summer POV
“Daddy,” I replied.
“Don’t Daddy me, Summer, do you know what time it is?” He barked.
I cringed. “Too late to be yelling?”
Dad paced the length of the couch in the living room. It was hard to take him seriously with his I Love Barbeque T-shirt and plaid pyjama pants on.
“I know what it is you’re seeing someone, don't you?”
My heart slammed forward, and heat rushed to my ears. “I…uh… yes, yes I am.”
After today, Ezra and I were technically together. I was dating the Alpha, it felt surreal to even say. It felt worse to say I was dating my Dad’s boss.
“Summer Gracelyn!”
I cringed. Did he have to use my government name?
“You were supposed to lay low, and knowing this town, there’s no way he’s a human.”
“It’s been months, Dad, how long do you want me to lay low?”
“Until all this is nothing but a memory! Is this boy going to accept you when he sees your marks, Summer? Have you told him?”
