Chapter 16
Summer POV
I slipped into Ezra’s office. I found him standing by the window holding a half-empty glass of scotch.
“Before you explode, tell me why you’re so mad,” I said quickly.
Ezra gripped the glass tightly. I thought it might break in his fist.
“Come on, it can’t be that bad,” I pleaded.
He marched over to his desk and slammed the glass on it.
“My girlfriend in the arms of another wolf is bad enough!” he roared.
I blinked a few times. Ezra’s jealous? I bit my bottom lip in an attempt to hide my smirk.
“This isn’t funny, Summer.”
“Conner’s an old friend,” I said sweetly.
I could see the possessiveness radiating off him, yet I still closed the gap between us. I ran my palms up his chest and cupped his cheeks. He leaned in and kissed the inside of my right palm.
“It was nothing,” I whispered.
“No one touches what’s mine.”
I sucked in a breath. He closed the distance between us before I got another
