A few days later, Emerald threw all the clothes that the machine babysitters bought in the trash bin.

“The color is awful.” She said, “The materials are too thick, and the baby won’t feel comfortable in them.”

The machine babysitters answered, “They were the best baby clothes in the city.”

Emerald was still calm and looked at Evan beside them, “He’s my baby, and I want to choose his clothes by myself. You can send enough guards to follow me.”

Evan glanced at her, “Fine.”

Emerald was happy. As long as she could go outside, she could try to send messages to Patrick.

“I’ll go with you.” Evan’s words killed all her hope, “Besides, I have got you a machine doctor. All the latest human medical knowledge was written into him.”

Emerald was upset. When she saw Evan’s eyes, she knew she couldn’t avoid him anymore.
