Chapter 137. Escape

Ariana’s POV

Five days went by, and I was locked in the room that was my prison. After my confrontation with Lucas, I never saw him again.

I had been checking on the kids once a day, and the guards would let me stay for more than an hour under Lucas’ orders. Maria kept me informed about everything that had been going on and told me how she had kept the kids safe.

I was restricted from a lot of things. I couldn’t leave my room on my own, and I wasn’t given access to a phone. Maria stopped coming around after a while, as it became suspicious.

But she informed me that Damien had been confirmed to be alive and had made several appearances. I could see why I could hardly find Lucas around and why he had tightened the security in the mansion.
