Chapter 43. What Is Love

Damien’s POV

I'm struggling with a decision I made recently that I regret deeply. When I turned down Camilla, I didn't realize how much I cared about her until it was too late. 

I've seen her become someone she's not, dressing provocatively and leaving the house that day, only to return in the arms of Lucas unconscious.

It doesn't make sense to me why she's been sick and staying in her room for weeks. Even though Leo or someone else has taken over her work at the office, I haven't pushed her to come back because I feel guilty. I wish I could turn back time and make things right, but I know that's not possible.

I watched her from a distance for days, even at my engagement party. She was beautiful, and I couldn't keep my eyes off her. I lingered around as I watched Britney talk with her friends.
