I left him in anger because he had no right to care about me like that. Once I returned to my room, I confidently took a refreshing bath and dressed up in a beautiful summer dress that fell just above my knees. I was ready for a fun shopping trip with my friend Maria.

Soon we were in the vehicle and just as planned my mother decided to join us for the shopping. The car was quiet and awkward, I could see my mother trying to engage Maria in a conversation but Maria paid no mind to her, and ignored her.
