Chapter 76. Custody

I stirred in bed, my eyes slowly opening to reveal an unfamiliar room. Confusion clouded my mind until the memories of last night flooded back, and I realized I was in Lucas’s room.

Panic set in as I tried to piece together what had happened. I looked at the expensive couch where he had ducked the girl last night and I could still hear her scream from there. It was like she was here with me and I could hear her.

Lucas irritated me, and I hated him with every bone in my body for what he did, and how he saw me and treated me but I knew one thing he was my husband now and the best I could do was to endure.
