Chapter 76. Custody
I stirred in bed, my eyes slowly opening to reveal an unfamiliar room. Confusion clouded my mind until the memories of last night flooded back, and I realized I was in Lucas’s room.
Panic set in as I tried to piece together what had happened. I looked at the expensive couch where he had done the girl last night, and I could still hear her screams from there. It was like she was here with me, and I could hear her.
Lucas irritated me, and I hated him with every bone in my body for what he did and how he saw and treated me, but I knew one thing—he was my husband now, and the best I could do was endure.
Before I could delve deeper into my thoughts, a wave of nausea hit me like a freight train, and I stumbled out of bed, racing toward the bathroom while holding my stomach.
