“What?” I yelled at her, and she looked at me like I had gone mad.

“What the fuck did you expect?” she asked me.

“I…I was angry and felt betrayed by Damien, I didn’t think I wanted to…” I mumbled, suddenly confused.

“You just exposed everything just like that. Do you even know what this means? What have you done? Do you—” she asked, frightened, staring at me.

“I had to… I am tired and scared of this. I just want to be free of all the chains of lies that hold me down,” I blurted out, waving my hands in the air while walking backward. She walked closer to me.

“How?” she asked as she watched me. I knew she was scared, and I understood.

“Are you also going to tell Lucas everything? You just opened everything to him, knowing he would take action,” she snapped.
