Chapter 90. Mother Hate
I stood there as I nodded at her. We couldn’t talk here, as I knew her words would be filled with threats and much more. And of course, what would I do when she had something against me?
I stopped a maid to ask where the bags had been taken because I didn’t think Lucas would want to share a room with me after what had happened. I was informed that my room had been fixed and was ready to use. I was relieved that I would at least have my own privacy.
As I walked into my room, I could feel my mother’s presence behind me, her gaze scanning the space.
“Wow, they fixed it back really well,” she remarked, her voice dripping with sarcasm. I clenched my jaw, avoiding a glare; her words were already provoking enough. She destroyed the room, and now she was complimenting it.
