“Oh, you know I have no shame?” I chuckled softly, and he mirrored my amusement.

“Waiter,” he called out, catching the attention of a waitress with a striking figure who approached us with a smile.

“What would you like to order, sir?” Her voice carried a subtle, seductive tone as she directed her gaze towards Zane.

I observed her demeanor with curiosity. Was this her usual way of greeting customers?

“I’ll have the steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus,” Zane replied, casting a playful glance in my direction. “And what would you like, Calista?”

I gulped nervously, feeling a hint of shyness creeping in. “You know, it’s really up to you,” I murmured.

“No, go ahead and say what you want,” Zane commanded casually.

I nodded, returning his smile, and took a moment to consider the menu. “I’ll have the grilled salmon with steamed vegetables, please,” I finally decided, directing my request to the waiter with a polite nod
