I chuckled. “You always think that,” I mumbled, a bit under my breath. “I don’t even know what you want to do or say in here,” I added. He took a step closer, his eyes studying me intently, taking in every detail.
My heart skipped a beat. Being with him felt almost suffocating after everything that had happened.
“You said sometimes you don’t want to be around people.”
“But you’re here.”
“I want to be an exception this time,” he said, a smirk playing on his lips.
I met his gaze and gulped, a nervous smile stretching across my face.
“Yes, because you said this might be our meeting place,” I chuckled, shaking my head as I took in the surroundings.
