Calista’s POV

The final whistle blew, signaling the end of a heart-stopping match. The stadium erupted in a deafening roar, people felt like crashing and some were disappointed that their team didn’t win but it wasn’t surprising.

Zane’s team had clinched the victory, and the stands were a sea of jubilant faces, all reveling in the thrill of the game.

As the match ended with Zane’s team victorious, I couldn’t stay seated. I sprang up and clapped my hands enthusiastically. Cameras panned around, capturing the excitement on the big screen. I felt a twinge of worry about Evangeline noticing my absence from work just like what I lied to her, but I didn’t want to dampen the moment.

I just wanna be happy for Zane.
