Adrienne was taken aback by Pedro's sudden change of emotions. Confused and hurt, she couldn't fathom why he had acted so aggressively just moments ago. As she glanced at her injured hand, the result of his rough handling, she realized that Pedro's anger had inadvertently caused her harm.
