Chapter 31
Camille’s POV
I made my way out of the church and met the hunter standing with his back rested on the ancient walls and his eyes firmly shut. He had a black short on that stopped at his mid-thighs while a white bandage firmly wrapped his knee cap with blood pooled at the center. I could feel my intestine churning and voices in my head lashing out at me.
You are a monster, you tried to kill that man.
The truth is that I am no monster. I was caught in a war and in wars, there are casualties so whether my subconscious likes it or not, I’m not to be blamed for his misfortune.
