Chapter 17. Fly You to the Moon

Helena’s POV

I was trembling since I was angry, upset, and afraid. Kenneth used to be sweet, but he showed me his evil side for the first time. I shuddered to think how naive I was to love him. I returned to the library after he left.

Stacy was waving at me. “Hey, what took you so long?”

“I’ll tell you later when we have finished work,” I whispered.

Stacy stared at me. “Are you okay?”

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself. “No, but I’ll be fine after a while.”

“What did he ask from you?”

“Not now. I’ll tell you later after all visitors have left,” I said.

Kenneth’s POV

Meanwhile, I was waiting outside the library gate. I was upset because of Helena’s rejection. She was a sweet and obedient girl. Why did she change? That was when Debby called.

“Hello, baby, where are you?” she asked.

“I’m in front of the MPL. Why? Have you missed me already, babe?”

“Uh, yeah, I miss you, but I also need cash.”
