Chapter 101. I Will Do Everything to Protect Our Daughter

Jason’s POV

“Neomi,” I called when entering the house, she was in the sitting room and neither was she in her room.

I met the maid in the hallway carrying Valerie.

“Hey, where is my wife?” I asked though the question suddenly heavy in my mouth. It sounded foreign to call Neomi my wife. I was just doing this not to let anyone know the fate of our relationship. Moreover maids are good at spreading rumors fast which was why Nyla stayed at the villa without any maids just to avoid unnecessary drama.

“She is in the garden,” she responded.

“How is Valerie doing?”

“She is fast asleep, I just need to put her down,” she said politely, bowing her head before leaving. I reached the garden, Neomi was seated staring at nothing. I could see her worry in her expression.

“Hey.” She jerked staddle before turning to my direction.

“I have been calling you but you’re not picking up my calls,” she threw her face away running a hand over her face.
