Nyla’s POV

“Where is my son?” I demanded as I walked past Jason, ignoring him.

“Felix is at Lily’s office,” he said, but I kept going, not caring if I knew the way. I didn’t want to face him or acknowledge the feelings I still had for him, buried but not forgotten.

“Nyla, wait,” Jason called, grabbing my hand and forcing me to turn. His eyes softened me despite my resolve.

“It’s good to see you’re alive with our son,” he said.

“Thank you, but I can’t say the same about you. You hurt me, Jason. All I want is to get my son and leave,” I replied.
