Chapter 123. Ruin Me in a Way

Mia’s POV

With the conclusion that Nyla could say whatever she wants to say to get to me comes the voice of Tala rendering all my hope hopeless.

Tala has indeed been a trusted worker and she had supervised Nyla throughout her pregnancy. I should have killed her long ago now she stood as a threat to me.

“Yes, Valerie is Nyla’s daughter,” I watched Nyla face soften at the mention of that but that got Valerie more angry as her hand went through her face.

I watched that and yet I couldn’t say anything. I was dumb as the blood in my system runs cold. The air seems suffocating as I felt my lungs constrict painful.

“Grandma don’t believe them, they are bunch of liars,” Valerie was already in tears holding my both hands but I showed no sign to comfort, I just stood there staring dumbing at her.

“Grandma please,” she begs dropping to her knees before Jason stops her, pushing her aside and talking sense into her. I didn’t move for a split of seconds
