Chapter 54. We Have to Get Out of Here
Tala’s POV
He entered the room. I could feel his eyes on me, but then I didn’t want to let go of the blanket, I wanted to die. This feeling he had arose within me.
“I will just wait to make sure you’re okay, if you need anything, let me know,” he said, standing at the corner of the room. A part of me wanted to have him hold me to tell me everything was going to be alright, but then a part of me wanted him to go far away. He sat on the couch at the end of my room while I remained under my blanket. The feeling of Susan’s pup’s death was replaced with another feeling of hiding myself away from Alexander.
I didn’t when I slept off, but when I woke up, it was morning, and Alex was standing close to my bed, his gaze on me.
“Oh my God!” I tried to shrink away while sleeping, the blanket left my face and found itself on the floor.
“You don’t have to be shy of me, Tala, I won’t do anything to you unless you ask me to,” he said in a gentle tone. I swallowe
