I sat on the couch, weighing both what Jason said. I knew he hurt me deeply, and I wanted to get over it, which means staying far away from him to get back my sanity.

My bags were already packed up, but I couldn’t lift up a finger on any of my stuff.

Should I stay back? I thought.

That will be total torture. Can I withstand it? Can I overcome it? Tears trailed down my cheek. I don’t want to make a harsh decision and later regret it all over again.

I choose to stay or leave, but then leaving costs a price, which is leaving Valerie behind. I can’t wait when I have started getting this connection with her. Who was I going to leave her to? Is it Jason who can’t handle things properly or Mia who will eventually turn my baby girl into hers?

It’s a hard decision to make, but then leaving without Valerie will just be like leaving empty. Empty with over how many years of marriage with Jason?
