I put on the lavender dress I bought from the market and moved closer to the mirror. I stood and admired myself as the dress hugged my curves.

Given the way I was raised, living a life of luxury was something I didn’t know I could indulge in. Now, I felt so feminine and elegant and ultimately… beautiful.

“You’re trying on your new clothes?” he asked, smiling as his eyes roamed over me.
