After Marcus left, practically vibrating with excitement, I called Jennifer in.
“I need you to book a flight to Barcelona for this Friday,” I said. “Business class. And I need you to be discreet about it. Don’t mention this to anyone who calls asking about my schedule. Not my brothers, not my mother—no one. This is confidential business information. Understood?”
Jennifer’s expression showed she knew something was off, but she nodded. “Of course, Mr. Navarro. May I ask—how long will you be gone?”
“Indefinitely,” I said. “I’ll be establishing our Barcelona office with Marcus. Could be a few months, could be longer. Cancel all my local appointments. Anything that can be handled remotely, I’ll take care of from Spain. Anything that requires in-person attention, delegate to Rafael.”
