Chapter 6. The New Alpha

Marcel's Point of View 

“I heard you made a scene at the Barn two days ago,” Gary said.

I groaned.

“Come in Gary.”

“Is this how an Alpha King should behave? Honestly, Marcel—”

I spun. “You’re right. I should leave. Leave you all fucking defenceless because you know Riven’s pack’s just lying and waiting for the right moment.”

Gary kicked the door shut and used his diamond-encrusted cane to walk to my desk. He heard about it two days ago but couldn’t come down from his majestic condo to deal with it earlier.

“Make it quick Gary. I have a charity event to go to.”

“Uh! Charity so you’re doing something to clean your image after all.”

“I don’t care about my image. I care about the children.”
