Chapter 41. The Risk

After Xavier told Edward about the probability of Elliott being king, Edward went out to search for himself. He had never done it, but if Xavier’s claims about Elliott being their brother are correct, he should be able to reach out and find him.

He did that the very next day in the space of his cabin. Disregarding his limited powers, he tried to reach Elliott using the blood cord spell. His first few tries were unsuccessful, but his third and final try was. He had wielded all the powers left in him to search out the truth, and it knocked him unconscious afterwards. When he woke, he was in bed in his room. Xavier, Mia, and Ivan, the healer, were also in his room, but Ivan took his leave immediately after he regained consciousness.

Xavier told him he found him on the floor unconscious and sought out Ivan’s help, then asked what he had been doing. He told Xavier he wanted to confirm his words about Elliott being their brother and had taken the risk.
