Francine got caught off guard with my question and was not able to respond for a few seconds as if she did not know where to start.
The worry on her face plus her eerie silence sent alarms all over my body. I’m sure Alana is in danger. The guards would have her in prison because of what happened which is not really her fault.
It was mine because I kept on trying to deny her to myself. I did that to myself and Alana is the collateral damage of the worst decision I made in my entire life.
Despite feeling dizzy and weak all over my body, I forced myself to get out of the bed. I need to see Alana. I need to know she’s alright.
