Chapter 35. Run
After a night of barely enough sleep, I woke up the next morning feeling utterly drained. I dreaded training today but I managed to get myself prepared. Heading to the training ground, Praya approached me. There was concern etched on her features when she saw my tired state.
“You look like you barely got enough sleep,” she said, her gaze not missing any single detail.
“Do I look that bad?” I asked as we did our morning warm-ups.
She examined me carefully, “Err— not bad,”
I yawned, “I’m so tired today.”
“What happened though? Rough night with Devyn?” a cunning smirk crept on her face as she stretched her legs and knees. I felt warmth creep up my cheeks when I understood what she meant.
“Gosh, no!” I shrieked and she chuckled.
Though I wondered what a rough night with Devyn would be.
I shoved away the thoughts, ashamed that I had even thought about it.
