Winston POV

I wait patiently in my room until the pack house is quiet. I pretended not to be interested in dinner and avoided Edward for most of the afternoon. He wants me to stay away from Macy, but I don’t have the strength. I want her so desperately that the marks on my arm itch with anticipation. She can push me away all she wants, but I refuse to give up. She is going to love me. I will make sure of it.

It is past midnight, and I slip from my bedroom. The hallway is dark, and I let out a sigh of relief. No one will see me sneak into her room. I am about to knock on her door when I hear a growl behind me. I roll my eyes in frustration. I already know it is Edward.
