Chapter 510. Playrooms

Wren POV

The music is thumping loudly. It would usually give me a headache, but Sadie keeps handing me drinks. She is swaying beside me at the bar while Sophie and Scarlett grind on each other on the dance floor. Men approach them, but they wave them away with a flick of their hands. I thought they were coming here to find a man, but they seem to only care about each other’s company.

“Am I keeping you from dancing with your sisters?” I ask Sadie.

My words are more slurred than I expected, and Sadie laughs. “I am not as bold as they are. I like to sit here and drink.”

Someone approaches me from behind and lays his hands on my waist. Before I can turn to see who it is, Sadie is out of her seat. “Back away, Asshole. She’s not interested.”

“Let the lady speak for herself,” he growls at Sadie.

I turn to look at him. He’s not bad looking, but Sadie is right. I am not interested. “Sorry. Not interested.”
