Ruby’s POV

The next morning was the day of the pack run, and Tate and Hayes were leading it. Everyone had shifted into their wolf form except for me. Tate pulled me aside as soon as I arrived, telling me not to shift. The advisory council was in the pack once again, and it seemed they weren’t ready to reveal that I was a warrior wolf like my dad.

Pack runs were usually the best part of living in a pack. It was mandatory for all youths to attend. I ran in my human form, and to my surprise, I saw Asia fall in line beside me.

“Good morning,” she beamed, wearing a matching set of black sports shorts and a bra, the same brand I was wearing.

“Morning,” I replied. She went on to apologize for the comments she made the night before and expressed how bad she felt when I left. She even mentioned feeling guilty when the boys scolded her about her behavior.
