Ruby’s POV

“Zylon, it’s good to see your face,” I said, locking gazes with him. In that moment, it felt as if the rest of the world faded away, leaving just the two of us. Zylon’s large, warm hands gently cradled my face. “Thank you for accepting the mate bond. We will strive every day to be worthy of you,” his voice deep and sincere.
