Ruby’s POV

Shane stood beside Zylon, and Tate had just arrived in his human form, standing next to Hayes’s wolf. My brother had blood on his shirt, and his eyes were bloodshot, glaring at the rogues. I didn’t even ask him how my best friend was doing. I just prayed that she was recovering well.

Boris stood several feet away, smiling as his eyes locked onto mine. A step behind him were about a dozen men, all dressed in black cloaks, likely his closest and strongest allies. “Good evening, my future bride,” he said with a creepy smile, causing me to grimace as my mates growled in response.

“You’re really sending all those men to their death just to get to me?” I asked, still perplexed.

“And I want this pack gone. They are a menace. Once I’m finished here, I will conquer every pack there is,” he replied calmly, maintaining that unsettling smile on his face. I scoffed at him.

“We’re giving you a chance to surrender now, or you’ll all die,” Zylon state
