Chapter 98. Memory Lane

I sat on the bed, looking steadily around the guest room they had prepared for us. My fists clenched angrily as I replayed everything my father had said. He had forgotten how they had treated me like a disgusting creature because of what happened. I blinked back the tears threatening to fall from my eyes.

The loud, painful growls of my stomach woke me up. My eyes blinked slowly and weakly, trying to decipher where I was. Memories of what happened that made me blackout rushed back to me. Vesper had beaten me in a fit of anger until I ended up fainting. I blinked back the tears and struggled to stand up from the floor but ended up slipping in my own blood.
