“We need to get those flammable liquids! We need to make a huge fire!” Magnus thundered.

Alpha Lexington nodded nervously. He held a flaming torch awkwardly, as though it was going to burn him rather than protect him. “The room is not too far from the safe room. We pass it before we get to the safe room!”

“Then we need to get there now!” I said, speaking out for once since the attack started. I’m sure everyone could sense the quake in my voice. The void monsters were not slowing down, and very soon, I was sure that the soldiers would be exhausted from swinging their flaming torches around to keep them away.
