“What do you know about the lady?” I asked after a moment.

“She was fleeing from a rogue named Felix. He is……pretty popular. He’s had dealings with some alphas even, he does their dirty work in exchange for money. He’s also a bit settled. From the information my men gathered…….he paid to be mated to the girl.”

“I’m guessing that what the whole uncle sending her away is about.”

“Yes.” Anthony replied and sipped his wine. “I believe it was a transaction.”

“But why would her uncle trade her? What makes her important enough to be traded?”

“I have sent word for every detail about the girl to be searched for. She is however, from a small pack somewhere in Europe. No one of any major importance if not I would have known.”

“Hmmm. Will she really be safe from the rogue if she completes her business here though?”

“I think what we should be concerned about is if the rogue will come for her……”
