Chapter 31. Awoken

Lovette’s POV

Flashback.

It was the pain of liquid on a fresh wound that woke me up. I felt so sore and pain tore through my entire body. I struggled to open my eyes and I saw Belinda squeezing a piece of clothing into a bucket and using it on my legs. My eyes were still half shut so she hadn’t realized I had woken up. Slowly I began to recollect the memories of the past day…….or past few days? I wasn’t sure how long I had been unconscious for. The last thing I remembered was Felix scratching me and tearing my skin with his sharp claws. I thought I was going to die from the pain and pressure I felt. I had never felt such pain before.

I had blacked out and that was the last memory I had of the past few days. I raised my head and looked around. I was back in the old room at the other side of the house. My clothes had been changed and I was now wearing a plain long grey oversized gown which probably belonged to Belinda. I let out a small whimper when she pressed a litt
