Chapter 29. Sheila Arrives to the Green Moss

The next few days after my dad finding out Sheila was gone was crazy. It was almost like he was going mad. He spent all his time sending guards to keep searching for Sheila over and over again and making alliances with rogues of every sort to prepare for a war against the green moss pack. The rogues didn’t respect him because he wasn’t a good man, father or even a good businessman. But he was able to get a few on his side by making all kinds of crazy promises. He was preparing for a war.

My mother had tried many times to speak to him but he didn’t care about everything she had to say. He was almost beyond sane now. My mother blamed me for what was happening to him. She said I had gone against him when he needed me to stand by his side the most, but I didn’t care about anything she had to say. It was absolutely ridiculous that she was still looking for who to blame for the misfortune that was befalling my dad as a result of his terrible actions.
