Chapter 52. The Return to Diamond Crescent
I nodded and used the white napkin she handed to me to clean off the tear on my cheeks. I closed my eyes and tried to remember when I had seen her, Harris and Basit in the hall.
That used to be me, sitting by his side and making decisions concerning the pack, or even decisions concerning my son. Why did she have the right to say my sons name out her mouth? And why did she have the right to talk about Basit as though he was her play thing. It was all his fault, because he was just promiscuous in nature……..or because he didn’t love me again and he wanted to get away from me. Was he aware that she had come to meet me? Was he in on the plan to make her the Luna of the pack and take my rights from me?
Was it possible that he hated me that much?
