The hallways were thinly lit with fluorescents, and pictures hung on the walls at strategic positions. 10 years old Cassey in hiking gears, smiling toothily with her mom and dad, then another displaying her at her prom night. The list continued, and Derek couldn’t understand this; the placing of pictures on the walls of hallways. He believed that pictures, especially family pictures should all be in rooms, not hallways and passages. Paintings were understandable, but not pictures. Well, humans were really weird.
