Chapter 62. A Perfect Luna

Jason’s POV

I could feel Archer disappearing into the back of my head, retreating to his sanctuary like he had last night; I got it! He wanted to stay loyal to Abigail, but I was more rational than that!

My last images of her bore into my brain, making my temper flare just thinking about her leaning up to kiss Damien, his arms tightly wrapped around her in an embrace that told me everything I needed to know - he was telling the truth about them this morning.

They were intimate.

And if that was the case, I was doing nothing wrong with Kayala. We were both consenting adults; she knew the score, that I had hopefully found my mate! Kayla and I had always had fun together; she got me and my needs, and even how she accepted this unexpected turn told me she would have made a perfect Luna.

The only issue for me was that she wasn’t Abigail. So our plans have changed! With all that said and done, Kayla and I had been together for years; I couldn’t just tur
