Chapter 125
Leon spotted the Taylor estate, and his heart raced. Somewhere in that fortress was Lina. After his conversation with Henry, he had thrown those herbs away and decided to travel here to see her. As he approached on his horse, Derek was the first to appear and let him into the courtyard. They greeted each other, and Derek looked terrible, which was understandable considering everything he had been through. Leon felt anxious and worried about Lina; his expression must have betrayed his emotions because before he could ask, Derek said:
“She's in the sewing room. She goes there every day since she arrived, but it’s better if you wait a little to see her. Why don’t you wait for me in the living room?” Derek suggested.
“No. I want to see her now,” Leon said in a tone that left no room for discussion.
Derek didn’t argue and led Leon into the Taylor fortress. They climbed some stairs and passed several servants attending to their tasks until they stopped at a door.
