The tension in the hall rose considerably after King’s unfortunate comment, while Gracie felt completely awkward for King saying exactly what he felt and thought. Callum, on the other hand, looked at him as if he wanted to rip his eyes out.
He squeezed the mug he was holding so tightly that it shattered with a loud crack.
King laughed heartily.
“Did I hurt you, kid?” Tiberius King asked ironically.
Callum glared at him for half a second before deciding that it was a great idea to grab his plate of oatmeal and throw it at King, who didn’t dodge in time.
When the oatmeal hit King, it splattered not only on him but also on Breccan, who was nearby. Breccan stood up, outraged, cursing loudly, all of which described what he would do to Callum.
