Aina POV

I didn’t know how we even reached the mansion, but we did. The Luna was in another car, so I couldn’t see her.

This couldn’t be true. I was still in denial. My mother couldn’t have kept such a secret—that she was once Alpha Owen’s lover, and worse, that they had a child together. She was too proud, not someone to keep something like that hidden… or maybe I didn’t know my mom as well as I thought.

While I was lost in my thoughts, Osborne had been handling everything. Alpha Owen was nowhere to be seen and Luna had been devastated.

I sat down in a daze, and soon I heard footsteps. Osborne appeared, his expression calm as he came toward me. “Are you calm now?” he asked gently.

I forced myself to nod, even managing a small smile. “How’s your mother?” I asked.

His demeanor shifted, and I could see the weight of it all pressing down on him. He sighed, kneeling in front of me until our eyes locked.
