Osborne POV
With most things settled, one problem still nagged at me: Bella. I couldn’t let her pull another stunt, so I picked up my phone and dialed Alpha Hamilton.
He hesitated, then answered. “If you’re calling about my daughter’s little tantrums, you’re wasting your time,” he said — calm on the surface, but with something dangerous under it.
“I’m not calling about that, Alpha Hamilton,” I said, my eyes on Aina and Clara chatting a little way off. “I’m calling about the deal from our last meeting.” He quieted for a while before he asked “why are you bringing it up now?”.
I let out a short laugh. “Another pack’s willing to take the contract at the price we wanted. If I give it to you, we lose money — hope that makes it clear.” I heard him bang his hand somewhere and spit, “You wouldn’t dare.”
