Chapter 14. Dark Witch

'Alpha! Alpha!' Carson's voice echoed through the pack link waking us from our slumber.

We were still in the woods near the stream, and it was the early hours of the morning. I didn't need to ask if something was wrong. I could feel it.

'Carson, where are you?'

'We're at the Northeastern border,' he answered. 

"I'm on my way."

Through the woods, we ran. Gidian gave it his all as our paws pummelled through the dirt towards our beta. We arrived in record time. As soon as we came stepped onto the premises of the northeastern border, the stench of death permeated the air.

There were dead wolves scattered all over.
