Chapter 69. My Bite!

Mercedes' POV

I'm driving out of Shadow Moon in my car. Luckily, we had left it behind when we left the pack, so I now have transport to leave for my pack. The two weeks I stayed in this pack have passed me by, I have spent all day in my apartment licking my wounds.

I miss him a lot, I've never been without him for so long. But he hurt me so deeply. Allowing me to dine with a stranger when he knows I won't tolerate anyone near me without him was a stab in my heart. My mate has not lifted a finger to keep me safe, to protect me from evil influences. I was lucky that Barry McNeal was a friend of Alpha Rainer's who suddenly showed up and took me in his dark-tinted car.
