From where she stood, she could see that the man was attractive, very handsome. He didn’t seem overdone with her somewhat “perky” friend over margaritas.
“Pff,” Emma sighed as she took a seat on one of the stools; she would have danced a bit with her friend before going back for a couple of fresh drinks when she would have noticed her new dance partner, the brunette wouldn’t have waited five seconds, much less rested before continuing to move her body to the music with no intention of stopping.
She watched out of the corner of her eye a couple of men several seats away from hers; she could feel the gaze of one of them, one with shoulder-length curly blond hair, marked cheekbones, and a drink in his hand. He seemed to be talking to his friend, but from time to time, he would throw glances at her, hoping she would notice him, which she would have done but decided to ignore,
